Santacruz or Santa Cruz (Pronunciation: aːn̪t̪akɾuːz is a suburb of Mumbai. The Santacruz railway station on the Mumbai Suburban Railway, the domestic terminal (T1) of the Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport, and one campus of the University of Mumbai, are all located in Santacruz (East). Santacruz and its neighbouring suburb Khar fall under the H East and H West wards of the Municipal Corporation of Greater Mumbai. The locality had a population of 675,951 in 1991, over an area of 12.98 square kilometers, giving it a population density of 36,668 persons per square kilometer. Juhu (Pronunciation: ͡ʒuɦuː is a suburb of Mumbai. It is known for the sprawling Juhu Beach. Sahar Village, Mumbai
Sahar Village lies in the Andheri East suburb of Mumbai. It is among the oldest settlements of Bombay East Indians on Salsette Island. The village had a station on the Salsette–Trombay Railway that was dismantled after the rail line closed in 1934. The opening of the Sahar International Terminal (Terminal 2) of the Chhatrapati Shivaji International Airport in the 1980s led to subsequent urban development in the area. RAF Santa Cruz
Royal Air Force Santa Cruz or more simply Santa Cruz is a former Royal Air Force station in Bombay (now called Mumbai), then British India which saw extensive use in the Second World War. History The Airfield was constructed in the 1930s when the nearby Juhu Aerodrome, located close by, could not cope with the fighters, bombers and other large transport planes of the Air Force, that required longer and stronger runways. Santa Cruz Airfield covered an area of about 1,500 acres (607 hectares). It had three runways originally and built as a standard Class A airfield, the main feature of which was a set of three intersecting concrete runways placed in a triangular pattern. Sacred Heart Church, Santacruz
Sacred Heart Church is located on S. V. Road in Santa Cruz (Mumbai), Mumbai. The church, founded in 1936, is a Grade III heritage structure. The church has 8,000 parishioners and is part of the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Bombay. Sacred Heart Boys' High School is a government aided high school for boys, affiliated to the Maharashtra Secondary School Certificate (SSC) Board. It is located on S. V.
