Morigerati ( Cilentan: ''Murgirati'') is a town and ''comune'' in the province of Salerno in the Campania region of south-western Italy. History The village was probably founded by the ancient Italic people of the Morgetes. It was later colonized by the Ancient Roman, as witnessed by some ruins in a locality named ''Rumanuru''. Geography The municipality, located in southern Cilento and part of its national park, is crossed by the Bussento river. It borders with Casaletto Spartano, Caselle in Pittari, Santa Marina, Torre Orsaia and Tortorella. Its only hamlet (''frazione'') is the village of Sicilì, that has a population of 364. The Cilento Coast ( Italian: ''Costiera Cilentana'') is an Italian stretch of coastline in Cilento, on the southern side of the Province of Salerno. It is situated between the gulfs of Salerno and Policastro, extending from the municipalities of Capaccio-Paestum in the north-west, to Sapri in the south-east. It is particularly known for its almost unspoiled natural landscapes and the very high cleanliness of its waters. A ''frazione'' (plural: ) is a type of subdivision of a ''comune'' (municipality) in Italy, often a small village or hamlet outside the main town. Most ''frazioni'' were created during the Fascist era (1922–1943) as a way to consolidate territorial subdivisions in the country. Torre Orsaia ( Cilentan: ''La Turri'') is a town and ''comune'' in the province of Salerno in the Campania region of south-western Italy. History The settlement, originally named ''Turris Ursajae'', was founded in the 11th century, in the current location of the nearby village of Castel Ruggero. Ispani is a town and ''comune'' in the province of Salerno in the Campania region of south-western Italy. Geography Located in southern Cilento, Ispani is a hilltown nearby the Cilentan Coast, few km far from Sapri, Policastro and Villammare.
