Santa María de Palautordera () is a village and municipality in the comarca of Vallès Oriental in the province of Barcelona and autonomous community of Catalonia, Spain. Geography The village is situated in the valley of the River Tordera, at the foot of the Montseny Massif. The vegetation is predominantly pine and oak woods. Demographics The population of Santa María de Palautordera as measured by the Town Hall was 9,103 in 2015. David Davis Cámara (born 25 October 1976) is a Spanish handball coach and former player. He was born in Barcelona and raised in Santa Maria de Palautordera to Equatoguinean Bubi people, Bubi parents from Malabo. His usual playing position was as Winger (sport), left winger. His last team was FC Porto in 2013. In 2014 he became assistant coach in RK Vardar from Skopje, Macedonia. In 2016 he was appointed head coach of ŽRK Vardar. Montseny Massif
Montseny () is a mountain range west of the coastal hills north of Barcelona. It is part of the Catalan Pre-Coastal Range. Features The Montseny massif is located within a triangle formed by the AP-7, C-17 and C-25 roads. It has the highest mountains in the area south of the Pyrenees and dominates the plains south of Girona. To the south lies the plateau of La Calma. In between is the Valley of the Tordera River. The highest peaks are Turó de l'Home (1,712 m), Les Agudes (1,703 m), El Matagalls (1,697 m) and Puig Drau (1,344 m). The Tordera (; ) is a river of Catalonia (Spain). It flows through the town of Tordera. Course The river is long. Its source is in the Montseny Massif, and it discharges in the Mediterranean Sea.
