The Sanremo Music Festival 2003 (), officially the 53rd Italian Song Festival (), was the 53rd annual Sanremo Music Festival, held at the Teatro Ariston in Sanremo between 5 and 9 March 2003 and broadcast by (RAI). The show was presented by Pippo Baudo (who also served as the artistic director of the festival), assisted by Serena Autieri and Claudia Gerini. The winner of the Big Artists section was Alexia with the song "Per dire di no", while Sergio Cammariere won the Critics Award with the song "Tutto quello che un uomo". Dolcenera won the Newcomers" section with the song "Siamo tutti là fuori". Pippo Baudo
Giuseppe Vittorio Raimondo "Pippo" Baudo (born 7 June 1936) is one of the most famous Italian television presenters, with a career spanning six decades. He is often nicknamed "Superpippo" (referencing the Italian name of Super Goof). Baudo has also been the artistic director and president of the Teatro Stabile di Catania. Career Baudo was born in Militello in Val di Catania. While studying law at the University of Catania, he became involved in entertainment as an actor and host. He also learned to play the piano. He graduated with a degree in law, despite his interest in entertainment. At the end of the 1950s, he became a singer and pianist for Orchestra Moonlight. Enrico Montesano (born 7 June 1945) is an Italian actor, comedian, television host, screenwriter and showman. Career Montesano comes from a family involved in theatre, and he made his debut in 1966 in a show named ''Humor nero'', alongside of Vittorio Metz. Later he became a very popular actor both on theatre and on television, thanks to his burlesque and brilliant style, and so during seventies he took part in several Italian comedies. Mauro Malavasi (born 21 March 1957) is an Italian pianist, songwriter and producer. After graduating from the Bologna Conservatory and performing in several jazz ensambles, in 1977 he started collaborating with Jacques Fred Petrus in various disco, Italodisco and dance projects, and went on to write and produce hits with various Italian musicians. Cecilia Cipressi (born 26 February 1977), known professionally as Syria or Airys, is an Italian singer and entertainer. Enrico Ruggeri (born 5 June 1957) is an Italian singer-songwriter. Biography A native of Milan, Ruggeri made his debut in the 1970s with the punk band Decibel (band), Decibel. In 1981 he began his solo career and established himself as a songwriter: his most famous success in this latter role is "Il mare d'inverno" ("The winter sea"), brought to chart by Loredana Bertè. Alberto Salerno (born 30 December 1949) is an Italian lyricist and producer. Life and career Born in Milan, Salerno is the son of the popular lyricist Nisa. He started composing lyrics in the late 1960s, becoming a usual collaborator of Mino Reitano, and writing hits such as Dik Dik's " L'isola di Wight" and Nomadi's " Io vagabondo". The Sanremo Music Festival 1952 (), officially the 2nd Italian Song Festival (), was the second annual Sanremo Music Festival, held at the Sanremo Casino in Sanremo between 28 and 30 January 1952, and broadcast by (RAI). The show was presented by Nunzio Filogamo. According to the rules of this edition every song was performed by a couple of singers or groups, with the five artists selected performing multiple songs. The winner of the festival was "Vola colomba", performed by Nilla Pizzi, who occupied all the podium places in that edition.
