Alexander Robertson (born 26 April 1971) is a Scottish former footballer who played in midfield. Early life His father, Malcolm Robertson, was also a professional footballer, with Ayr United, Heart of Midlothian and Hibernian. Club career Robertson began his career with Rangers where manager Graeme Souness labelled him the best young player in Britain. He scored Rangers' first goal under manager Walter Smith in a 1–0 victory over St Mirren on 20 April 1991 at Love Street. Robertson then joined Coventry City in England. In July 1995 he returned to Scotland, Dundee United buying him and Steven Pressley for a joint fee of £1 million. International career Robertson made two appearances for the Scotland under-21 team at the 1991 Toulon Tournament. Malcolm Robertson (footballer)
Malcolm Robertson (7 July 1951 – 18 August 2010) was a Scottish footballer who played as a left winger. He made his mark playing for Penicuik Athletic when he appeared in the 1970 Scottish Junior Cup Final. He then moved to Raith Rovers, scoring 53 goals in 140 league appearances for the Kirkcaldy side. Robertson went on to play for Ayr United, before Hearts signed him for a £25,000 fee in 1977. Hearts were battling with Ayr against relegation, but Robertson was sent off in a decisive match between the two teams. Hearts were a yo-yo club in the late 1970s and early 1980s; Robertson helped the club gain promotion back to the Premier Division in 1978 and 1980. Robertson left Hearts in 1981 to play in Canada for Toronto Blizzard. He briefly returned to Scotland, playing for Dundee United and Hibernian. A bouncer (also known as a doorman or door supervisor) is a type of security guard, employed at venues such as bars, nightclubs, cabaret clubs, stripclubs, casinos, hotels, billiard halls, restaurants, sporting events, schools, concerts, or movie theaters. Steven Pressley
Steven John Pressley (born 11 October 1973) is a Scottish professional football manager and former player who played as a centre back. He was most recently the manager of Carlisle United. Pressley had a long playing career, playing for Celtic and Rangers and making over 100 league appearances for both Dundee United and over 250 for Hearts. Pressley captained the Hearts side that won the 2006 Scottish Cup Final, and made 32 appearances for Scotland. As a player, Pressley was described as hard-working and exhibiting leadership. After retiring as a player, Pressley was assistant manager of Falkirk, before being appointed manager in February 2010. Pressley also served as an assistant manager to George Burley while Burley was manager of Scotland. He moved to League One side Coventry City in March 2013, but was dismissed in February 2015. Love Street (stadium)
St Mirren Park, more commonly known as Love Street, was a football stadium located on Love Street in Paisley, Scotland. At one time the stadium was capable of accommodating almost 50,000 spectators, however in its final years it had an all-seated capacity of 10,800. Until its closure in 2009, it was the home ground of St Mirren F.C. The football grounds on Love Street were registered as Fullerton Park for St Mirren's first season there as they were originally rented from a Mr Fullerton. The ground's record attendance was 47,438 for a match against Celtic in 1949. St Mirren completed construction of their new St Mirren Park in December 2008. Walter Smith
Walter Ferguson Smith (24 February 1948 – 26 October 2021) was a Scottish association football player, manager and director, primarily associated with his two spells as manager of Glasgow club Rangers. A defender, Smith's playing career consisted of two spells with Dundee United, split by a short time at Dumbarton. A pelvic injury caused his retirement from playing and Smith moved into coaching at Dundee United, working for manager Jim McLean. Smith also took charge of the Scotland under-18 and under-21 teams, and assisted Scotland manager Alex Ferguson at the 1986 FIFA World Cup in Mexico, after it had been announced that he would be moving to Rangers as assistant to Graeme Souness. Graeme Souness
Graeme James Souness (; born 6 May 1953) is a Scottish former professional football player and manager, and current TV pundit. A midfielder, Souness was the captain of the successful Liverpool team of the early 1980s, player-manager of Rangers in the late 1980s and captain of the Scotland national team. He also played for Tottenham Hotspur, Middlesbrough and Sampdoria. Souness' managerial career began when he joined Rangers, leading them to three Scottish titles and four league cups, before joining Liverpool as manager. He went on to become manager of Galatasaray, Southampton, Torino, Benfica, Blackburn Rovers and Newcastle United.
