Sandra Cunha
Sandra Cunha (born 21 October 1972) was a deputy in the Portuguese Assembly of the Republic as a member of the ''Bloco de Esquerda'' (Left Bloc - BE). She resigned in April 2021. Before joining parliament, Cunha was a part-time assistant professor at the ''Instituto Superior de Economia e Gestão'' (Lisbon School of Economics and Management - ISEG). As a lesbian, Cunha was among the winners of Portugal's ''Arco-íris'' (Rainbow) award in 2018 in the category "Coming Out". Education Sandra Mestre da Cunha was born in Paris on 21 October 1972. Her parents emigrated from Portugal during the time of the authoritarian '' Estado Novo'' regime. The family returned to Portugal four years after the Carnation Revolution in 1974 led to the overthrow of that regime. Same-sex adoption is the adoption of children or adults by same-sex couples. It may take the form of a joint adoption by the couple, or of the adoption by one partner of the other's biological child or adult ( stepchild adoption). The Revolutionary Socialist Party (, , or PSR) was a left-wing party in Portugal, founded in 1978 after the merger of two Trotskyist parties: the Internationalist Communist League ( LCI) and the Workers Revolutionary Party (, PRT). The LCI and PRT were both part of the reunified Fourth International. The International recognised the PSR as its Portuguese section. In 1998 Party renamed itself in order to join with some other left-wing parties in founding the Left Bloc ( or BE). The organisation retained the acronym (PSR) and became a civil society organisation under the name Revolutionary Socialist Political Association (''Associação Política Socialista Revolucionária'' (APSR)).
