Sandip Chakravarty, better known by his stage name Sandyman, is a tabla player, musician, DJ and TV Presenter, tv presenter. Early life and career Chakravarty was born in London to a family of musicians. His interest in tabla was aroused when he first heard tabla player Ustaad Zakir Hussain (musician), Zakir Hussain. At the age of 7, Chakravarty was brought to India by her mother for learning classical musical genre. He again shifted to London due to illness of his father and completed a diploma in Computer Science there. He made his public appearance at the Royal Albert Hall, London at the age of 16 and was nominated to be part of "Asians in the Millenium". His debut album is Mangu Dua featuring Bollywood singer Shaan (singer), Shaan. Bappi Lahiri
Bappi Aparesh Lahiri (born Alokesh Aparesh Lahiri; 27 November 1952 – 15 February 2022), also known as Bappi Da was an Indian singer, composer and record producer. He popularised the use of synthesised disco music in Indian music industry and sang some of his own compositions. He was popular in the 1980s and 1990s with filmi soundtracks. He also delivered major box office successes in Bengali, Telugu, and Kannada films. His music was well received into the 21st century. John Mayer (composer)
John Mayer (28 October 1930 – 9 March 2004) was an Indian composer known primarily for his fusions of jazz with Indian music in the British-based group Indo-Jazz Fusions with the Jamaican-born saxophonist Joe Harriott. Mayer was born in Calcutta, Bengal, British India, to an Anglo-Indian father and Tamil mother. After studying with Phillipe Sandre in Calcutta and Melhi Mehta in Bombay, he won a scholarship to London's Royal Academy of Music in 1952, where he studied composition with Matyas Seiber, as well as comparative music and religion in eastern and western cultures.
