Sanda Stolojan
Sanda Stolojan, née Henriette Lucia Sanda Zamfirescu (19 February 1919, Bucharest – 2 August 2005, Paris) was a Romanian poet, translator and writer. She was a dissident and prominent figure of the Romanian anticommunist exile. Life Born and raised in a family of intellectuals and diplomats, she received an elite education in Romania and other European countries. After finishing high school in Paris in 1937, she signed up for studies at the Faculty of Arts at the University of Bucharest. In 1943, she married Vlad Stolojan Filipescu and they attempted to leave communist Romania in 1949, but were arrested and sent imprisoned for the crime of preparation for illegal emigration. In following years, both were convicted of further crimes, eventually losing their home to the authorities. In 1961, Sanda and Vlad Stolojan managed to leave Romania definitively and settled in Paris. Bucharest

Nanterre
Nanterre (, ) is the prefecture of the Hauts-de-Seine department in the western suburbs of Paris. It is located some northwest of the centre of Paris. In 2018, the commune had a population of 96,807. The eastern part of Nanterre, bordering the communes of Courbevoie and Puteaux, contains a small part of the La Défense business district of Paris and some of the tallest buildings in the Paris region. La Contemporaine
La contemporaine is a French library, museum and archive center specialized on 20th century history. It was named "Bibliothèque de documentation internationale contemporaine" (BDIC) until 2018. The institutions has two centers, one in the Paris Nanterre University campus which hosts the archives and the library. The museum is located within the premises of the Hôtel National des Invalides in the 7th arrondissement of Paris. Humanitas (publishing House)
Humanitas ( ro, Editura Humanitas) is an independent Romanian publishing house, founded on February 1, 1990 (after the Romanian Revolution) in Bucharest by the philosopher Gabriel Liiceanu, based on a state-owned publishing house, Editura Politică. Its slogan is ''Humanitas, bunul gust al libertăţii'' ("Humanitas, the good taste of freedom").
