''Sanat'' is the third album by Finnish a cappella ensemble Rajaton, released in 2002. The word ''sanat'' means "words" in Finnish, and "heals" in Latin. The Finnish word ''rajaton'' means "boundless", to indicate the breadth of their repertoire, from sacred classical to near Europop. Rajaton performs primarily in Finland but also tours around Europe and the rest of the world, having performed in over 25 countries. In 2005, Rajaton album sales reached 100,000 worldwide. They have earned eight gold records in total, with ''Rajaton Sings ABBA'' reaching platinum (30,000) and ''Joulu'' reaching double platinum (60,000). ''Joulu'' (''Christmas'') is the fourth album of Finnish a cappella ensemble Rajaton, released on October 24, 2003. It is a double album, consisting of Christmas songs sung entirely in Finnish. Disc 1 is a studio album and contains both original tracks and new arrangements of traditional Christmas songs, including Finnish versions of carols Jingle Bells (''Kulkuset''), Silent Night (''Jouluyö, Juhlayö'') and The Christmas Song (''Joululaulu''). Disc 2 is a live album, recorded in Karis Church, and consists of eleven devout tracks. The album peaked at #2 on the Finnish album chart and has sold double platinum. Kaj Chydenius
Kaj Oskar Chydenius (16 October 1939 – 20 April 2024) was a Finnish musician and composer, probably best known for his left-wing political songs interpreted by various artists. Biography Chydenius studied at the Sibelius Academy, the University of Helsinki and the Helsinki School of Economics, starting his career with avant-garde music, happening, instrumental theatre, and the aesthetics of John Cage. Some of the best-known works by Chydenius are ''Lapualaisooppera'' (1966) and such songs as 'Sinua, sinua rakastan', 'Nuoruustango' and the children's song 'Magdaleena', which are all evergreens in Finland. Chydenius was one of the founding members of KOM-teatteri in 1971, together with Kaisa Korhonen who was his wife then. Jussi Chydenius (born 30 December 1972) is a Finnish musician and composer. He is best known for singing bass in the vocal ensemble Rajaton. He is the son of composer Kaj Chydenius and director Kaisa Korhonen. His brother is music producer Kalle Chydenius.
