Sana Indians
The Sana were a Indigenous people of the Southern Plains from South Texas. They settled on both the Brazos and Guadalupe Rivers in the 17th and 18th centuries. History During European colonization, their land was also shared with the Cantona, Cava, Emet and Tohaha Indians, and they were peaceful amongst themselves. In the 1740s, the tribe established the San Antonio de Valero Mission, a Spanish Catholic mission, in San Antonio, living there until about 1793. By the late 18th century, the Sana merged into the main Tonkawa tribe. The Tonkawa language was a language spoken in Oklahoma, Texas, and New Mexico by the Tonkawa people. A language isolate, with no known related languages, Tonkawa has not had L1 (first language) speakers since the mid 20th century. Emet Indians
The Emet (also spelled Emat, Emiti, and Ymette) were an indigenous peoples group in modern-day Texas. They primarily inhabited the Gulf Coastal Plain between the Colorado River and the Guadalupe River and cohabited with other groups, such as the Sana. They were first attested to by European explorers in the late 17th century and existed until at least the mid-18th century. They may have been related to the Karankawa or Tonkawa cultures, while Spanish explorers in the region reported that the tribes in the area spoke Caddoan and Spanish.
