Ambergris Stadium
Ambergris Stadium is a 1,500-seat association football stadium in San Pedro Town, Belize which meets FIFA international standards. It is the home stadium of San Pedro Pirates FC of the Premier League of Belize History By July 2014, the former Ambergris Stadium was in a state of disrepair and unusable despite a multi-million dollar investment. The surface was uneven and prone to flooding. Local authorities began planning for a redevelopment of the site with the design phase expected to be complete by October 2014 with the goal of making it Ambergris Caye's top sporting venue. Belmopan Football Club is a professional football club from Belmopan, Belize, currently competing in the Premier League of Belize. 2021–22 FFB Top League
The 2021–22 FFB Top League was the inaugural and only season of the FFB Top League, sanctioned by the Football Federation of Belize (FFB), taking over from the Premier League of Belize (PLB) as the highest competitive football league in Belize. There were two seasons spread over two years, the opening (played towards the end of 2021) and the closing (played at the beginning of 2022). The FFB Top League was put in place by the FFB due to the PLB being subject to restrictions mandated by the Supreme Court of Belize. The formation of the league will fulfil the requirement made by FIFA to restart football in Belize, as well as protecting the participating berth for the FFB for the 2022 CONCACAF League. The FFB expected to only administer the 2021–22 tournament, providing that the PLB legal matters will be resolved during this time. CONCACAF League
The CONCACAF League was an international association football competition organized by CONCACAF as its secondary continental tournament for clubs from North America, Central America and the Caribbean. It was announced on 8 May 2017. The competition used a knockout cup format with each round having two legs. The top six teams proceeded to the CONCACAF Champions League. From 2019 to 2022 the tournament featured 22 teams, an increase from 16 in the 2017 and 2018 editions. San Pedro Town, Belize
San Pedro is a town on the southern part of the island of Ambergris Caye in the Belize District of the nation of Belize, in Central America. According to the 2024 mid-year estimates, the town has a population of about 20,000. It is the second-largest town in the Belize District and largest in the Belize Rural South constituency. The once sleepy fishing village was granted the status of a town in 1984. San Pedro's inhabitants are known as San Pedranos and most of them originally came from Mexico. Most speak both Spanish and English fluently.
