San Pablo is a Cantons of Costa Rica, canton in the Heredia Province, Heredia province of Costa Rica. The head city is in San Pablo District, San Pablo, Heredia, San Pablo district. History San Pablo was created on 18 July 1961 by decree 2789. Geography San Pablo has an area of km2 and a mean elevation of metres. The canton is in the foothills southeast of the provincial capital city of Heredia, Costa Rica, Heredia, with the Bermúdez River as the southeast boundary and the Pirro River delineating the furthest portion of the northwestern border. Cantons Of Costa Rica
Costa Rica is administratively divided into provinces of Costa Rica, seven provinces which are subdivided into 84 canton (administrative division), cantons, and these are further subdivided into districts of Costa Rica, districts. Cantons are the only administrative division in Costa Rica that possess local government in the form of Municipality, municipalities. Each municipality has its own mayor and several representatives, all of them chosen via municipal elections every four years. The original 14 cantons were established in 1848, and the number has risen gradually by the division of existing cantons. Law no. 4366 of 19 August 1969, which outlines the creation of administrative divisions of Costa Rica, states that new cantons may only be created if they have at least one percent of the republic's total population, which was as of the latest estimate (2022). National Primary Route 5, or just Route 5 (, or ) is a National Road Route of Costa Rica, and it is a road from the area known as Tournón, in the triple limit of the Cinco Esquinas, Tibás district, Merced, San José district, and San Francisco, Goicoechea district in San José province to the Heredia district in the Heredia province of Costa Rica, and joins Route 108 and Route 3. Incofer
Rail transport in Costa Rica is primarily under the stewardship of Incofer (Instituto Costarricense de Ferrocarriles), an autonomous institution of the state. Incofer owns the national railway infrastructure and operates virtually all freight and passenger services, which consist primarily of commuter trains through the highly populated Central Valley. The whole Incofer network is narrow gauge, although there are small tourist railways of other gauges. Much of the railway system requires major repairs. Interurbano Line (Costa Rica)
Interurbano Line (), is a commuter railway line in Costa Rica, operated by the national public railway operator Incofer. The line connects the provinces of Alajuela, Heredia, San José and Cartago. History Costa Rica had two main lines for freight and passenger transportation, the Pacific line (between San José and Puntarenas) and the Atlantic line (between Alajuela, through Heredia and San José to Limón), both of which converge in the San José canton, with the eponymous terminus station of each line a mere 2 kilometer apart, which are connected by rail. Between 1993 and 1995 a brief passenger service made use of the tracks, but it was not enough to keep Incofer working, as the institution have been running in a deficit for a long time, for which it was technically closed in 1995.
