Samuel Grandsir
Samuel Grandsir (born 14 August 1996) is a French-Senegalese professional association football, footballer who plays as a winger (association football), winger for club Stade Malherbe Caen, Caen. Youth career Grandsir started his youth career in his hometown, Évreux. He eventually moved to the youth team of ES Troyes AC, Troyes. Club career After spending time with the youth team and reserve team, Grandsir signed with the Troyes senior team in 2016. Garnering attention from other clubs after several impressive seasons, he moved to AS Monaco, Monaco for €5.250m in 2018. Grandsir went on loan from Monaco to RC Strasbourg Alsace, Strasbourg in January 2019 followed by another loan to Stade Brestois 29, Brest for the 2019–20 season. On 11 March 2021, Grandsir signed with Major League Soccer club LA Galaxy. SM Caen
Stade Malherbe Caen (; commonly known as SM Caen, Malherbe, or simply Caen) is a French professional football team, based in the city of Caen in Normandy, that competes in the Championnat National from 2025–26 after relegation from Ligue 2 in 2024–25. The Ligue 1 relegation/promotion playoffs, known in French as the ''Barrages (''), is an annual play-off fixture in French football contested by the 16th-placed team in Ligue 1 and the winner of the Ligue 2 promotion play-offs. It takes place after the completion of the regular season and is administered by Ligue de Football Professionnel. Play-offs are a two-legged tie and the winner is decided by aggregate score. The Coupe de la Ligue (), known outside France as the French League Cup, was a knockout cup competition in French football organized by the Ligue de Football Professionnel. The tournament was established in 1993 and, unlike the Coupe de France, was only open to professional clubs in France which play in country's top three football divisions, though the third is not fully professional.
