Samuel Eguavoen
Samuel Ehi Eguavoen (born February 22, 1993) is an American football linebacker who is currently a free agent. From 2019-2022, he played for the Miami Dolphins of the National Football League (NFL). He played college football at Texas Tech. Early years Eguavoen played high school football at Lakeview Centennial High School in Garland, Texas, recording 118 total tackles, four sacks, one interception, two pass deflections, two forced fumbles and two fumble recoveries his senior year. He earned Second-team District 10-5A honors. He was rated a three-star prospect by Rivals.com and ESPN.com. Eguavoen also played basketball at Lakeview Centennial. College career Eguavoen played for the Texas Tech Red Raiders of Texas Tech University from 2011 to 2014. Linebacker
Linebacker (LB) is a playing position in gridiron football. Linebackers are members of the defensive team, and line up three to five yards behind the line of scrimmage and the defensive linemen. They are the "middle ground" of defenders, playing closer to the line of scrimmage than the defensive backs (secondary), but farther back than the defensive linemen. As such, linebackers play a hybrid role and are often the most versatile players on the defensive side of the ball; they can be asked to play roles similar to either a defensive lineman (such as stopping the runner on a running play) or a defensive back (such as dropping back into pass coverage). The 2015 NFL Draft was the 80th annual meeting of National Football League (NFL) franchises to select newly eligible football players. It took place in Chicago at the Auditorium Theatre and in Grant Park, from April 30 to May 2. The previous fifty NFL drafts (since 1965) had been held in New York City.
