Samuel Conti (July 16, 1922 – August 29, 2018) was an American jurist who was a United States federal judge, United States district judge of the United States District Court for the Northern District of California. Education and career Born on July 16, 1922, in Los Angeles, California, Conti received a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Santa Clara in 1945 after serving in the U.S. Army during World War II. He received a Bachelor of Laws from Stanford Law School in 1948. He was in private practice in San Francisco, California from 1948 to 1967. He was Chairman of the Civil Service Board of Appeals in Pittsburg, California, Pittsburg, California from 1956 to 1958. He was city attorney of Concord, California, Concord, California from 1960 to 1969. He was a judge of the Contra Costa County Superior Court from 1968 to 1970.
