Samudra University
Samudra University (Indonesian: ''Universitas Samudra'', abbreviated Unsam) is an Indonesian public university in the city of Langsa, Aceh. Initially an affiliate of the Syiah Kuala University, the university separated into its own organization in 1985 and was nationalized in 2013. The university possessed five faculties and 9,879 active students in 2014. History In East Aceh, the first higher education institutes were founded in 1963. In 1971, bureaucrats and politicians of Langsa formed a body to prepare the opening of a new institute. By 1976, two such institutes (teaching Law and Economics respectively) were opened, although permits were not registered until 1981. It was nationalized into a public university (''Perguruan Tinggi Negeri'') in 2013 by Minister of Education Muhammad Nuh, and its statute was formalized the following year. University Of North Sumatra
The University of Sumatera Utara ( id, Universitas Sumatera Utara) or USU is a public university located in the city of Medan in North Sumatra, Indonesia. It is situated in Padang Bulan, in the Medan Baru subdistrict of Medan, close to the City Centre, with a total area of 122 hectares. Due to an increase in the number of students, a new campus is being constructed in Kwala Bekala, about 15 kilometers away from the original campus, on an area of about 300 hectares. The rectors of the university serve an eight-year renewable term. USU was established as a Foundation Universitet North Sumatera on June 4, 1952. Palm oil is an edible vegetable oil derived from the mesocarp (reddish pulp) of the fruit of the oil palms. The oil is used in food manufacturing, in beauty products, and as biofuel. Palm oil accounted for about 33% of global oils produced from oil crops in 2014.
