Sampo Marjomaa
Sampo Marjomaa (born 1976) is a Finnish television personality and entertainer. He was born in Oulu, and was one of the first announcers on the television channel Nelonen. He studied film at the Turku University of Applied Sciences. Marjomaa was the host and writer of the show ''Hauskat kotivideot'', which uses clips from ''America's Funniest Home Videos''. His time presenting the programme was abruptly ended, and he has said he is unhappy with the way this was handled. He has spoken about the importance of the programme, and comedy in general, to people who are dealing with difficulties in their lives. Marjomaa has worked as a host on the Nelonen show ''Tosi-TV'' and can be seen in films by Findie film group Acid Cinema. He appeared in a music video for the band Radiopuhelimet. Nelonen (television)
is a Finnish commercial television channel. It started out as Helsinki's local television channel PTV in 1990 on the HTV cable network (now part of DNA Welho), and changed its name first to PTV4. On June 1, 1997, the channel expanded to national coverage and changed its name to Nelonen, the Finnish name of the number four. Nelonen is mostly owned by Sanoma Corporation, which owns the ''Helsingin Sanomat'' and ''Ilta-Sanomat'' newspapers. Its largest owner was Aatos Erkko. Radiopuhelimet is a Finland, Finnish alternative rock band formed in Oulu in 1986. Their style, though varied through the years, could be described as a combination of hardcore punk, noise rock and progressive rock. Aside from performing as a band in a regular sense, they are also known for having contributed to theatre from time to time.
