Sammy Potashnick (born June 3, 1974) is an American former professional stock car racing driver who has previously competed in the NASCAR Busch Series, the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series, the ARCA Re/Max Series, and the NASCAR Winston West Series. Potashnick has also competed in the ASA National Tour, the Hooters Pro Cup Series, the ASA CRA Super Series, and the Crate Racin' USA Weekly Racing Series. Sikeston, Missouri
Sikeston () is a city located both in southern Scott County and northern New Madrid County, in the state of Missouri, United States. It is situated just north of the "Missouri Bootheel", although many locals consider Sikeston a part of it. By way of Interstate 55, Interstate 57, and U.S. Route 60, Sikeston is close to the halfway point between St. Louis and Memphis, Tennessee and is four hours from Nashville. The city is named after John Sikes, who founded it in 1860. It is the principal city of the Sikeston Micropolitan Statistical Area, which consists of all of Scott County, and has a total population of 41,143. ASA National Tour
The American Speed Association (ASA) is a sanctioning body of motorsports in the United States formed in 1968. The Association was based in Pendleton, Indiana, and later in Daytona Beach, Florida. The ASA sanctioned asphalt and dirt tracks in their ASA Member Track program along with racing series in the United States and Canada. The ASA currently sanctions the STARS National Tour, the Midwest Tour, the Southern Super Series and all CRA sanctioned series. The ASA was most famous for a national touring series which began in 1973 but was discontinued in 2004 due to financial difficulties.
