AFC Wimbledon is an English professional association football club based in Wimbledon, London, Wimbledon, London Borough of Merton, London. The team competes in , the third tier of the English football league system. The club was founded in 2002 by former supporters of Wimbledon F.C. after the Football Association allowed that club to Relocation of Wimbledon F.C. to Milton Keynes, relocate to Milton Keynes in Buckinghamshire, about north of Wimbledon. Plough Lane, currently known as the Cherry Red Records Stadium for sponsorship reasons, is a multi-purpose football stadium in Wimbledon, south-west London, which has been the home of AFC Wimbledon since 3 November 2020.
