Sameera Gunaratne (born 12 February 1996) is a Sri Lankan cricketer. He made his List A debut on 15 December 2019, for Nugegoda Sports and Welfare Club in the 2019–20 Invitation Limited Over Tournament. Nugegoda Sports and Welfare Club, commonly abbreviated as NSWC, is a first-class cricket club in Sri Lanka. It is one of the 14 affiliated clubs of Sri Lanka Cricket. Tillakaratne Sampath is the current captain of the club. History Nugegoda Sports and Welfare Club was founded in 1970. NSWC sought an interim injunction against the interim committee from preventing using the Board of Control for Cricket funds in Sri Lanka in 2001. Before its first-class debut, NSWC participated in the under-23 tournament since 2002. Nuwan Kulasekara played for NSWC in the under-23 tournament in the early days of his career. The 2019–20 Invitation Limited Over Tournament was a List A cricket competition that took place in Sri Lanka. It ran from 14 to 31 December 2019, with twenty-five teams taking part. It was the first edition of the Invitation Limited Over Tournament, replacing the Premier Limited Overs Tournament, after Sri Lanka Cricket failed to approve the latter due to delays in their domestic cricket structure. Sinhalese Sports Club won the 2018–19 Premier Limited Overs Tournament, last edition of the Premier Limited Overs Tournament. First-class cricket, along with List A cricket and Twenty20 cricket, is one of the highest-standard forms of cricket. A first-class match is of three or more days scheduled duration between two sides of eleven players each and is officially adjudged to be worthy of the status by virtue of the standard of the competing teams. 2019–20 Premier League Tournament Tier B
The 2019–20 Premier League Tournament Tier B is the second division of the 32nd season of first-class cricket in Sri Lanka's Premier Trophy. The tournament started on 31 January and was originally scheduled to conclude on 11 April 2020. Lankan Cricket Club won the tournament in the previous season and were promoted to Tier A. They were replaced in Tier B by Sri Lanka Ports Authority Cricket Club after their relegation from Tier A.
