Sameer Thahir
Sameer C. Thahir (born 7 November 1976) is an Indian cinematography, cinematographer, screenwriter, Film producer, producer and film director, who works primarily in Malayalam cinema. He is a graduate of Maharaja's College, Ernakulam, Maharajas College, Ernakulam. Thahir began his career assisting his mentors, fellow Indian Society of Cinematographers members Amal Neerad and Rajeev Ravi. In 2007, he shot his first feature as an independent cinematographer when Amal Neerad turned to direct his debut film ''Big B (film), Big B''. Thahir's other credits include Aashiq Abu's film ''Daddy Cool (2009 Malayalam film), Daddy Cool'' (2009), ''Nidra (2012 film), Nidra'' (2012), ''Diamond Necklace (film), Diamond Necklace'' (2012), ''Bangalore Days'' (2014), ''Thamaasha'' (2019) and ''Minnal Murali'' (2021). ''5 Sundarikal'' () is a Malayalam romantic anthology film. It contains five short stories on love about five types of women. The stories are directed by Shyju Khalid, Sameer Thahir, Aashiq Abu, Amal Neerad, and Anwar Rasheed, and feature an ensemble cast. The film was produced by Amal Neerad Productions.
