Samastha Kerala Jem-iyyathul Ulama (of AP Sunnis)
Samastha Kerala Jem-iyyathul Ulama of AP Sunnis, also known as Samastha and AP Samastha, is a Sunni-Shafi'i Muslim scholarly body in Kerala. The council administers Shafi'ite mosques, institutes of higher religious learning (the equivalent of north Indian madrasas) and madrasas (institutions where children receive basic Islamic education) in India. There are two organisations known as Samastha, one named after E. K. Aboobacker Musliyar and the other after Kanthapuram A. P. Aboobacker Musliyar, both of which emerged in 1989, due to organisational disagreement in Samastha. Similar to EK Sunnis, a forty-member council also known as the 'mushawara' functions a high command body of AP Sunnis. Varakkal Mullakoya Thangal
Sayyid, Habib Abdurahman Bin Muhammad Ba-Alawi (1840 – 16 December 1932) also known as Sayyid Varakkal Mullakoya, was an Islamic scholar from Calicut (now Kozhikode) in Malabar District, Madras Presidency. He was one of the descendants of Alawi Sayyids who migrated from Yemen. Mullakoya Thangal was employed in service of the Arakkal Royal family of Cannanore. He also maintained healthy contacts with the British officials posted to Malabar District. He co-founded the Samastha Kerala Jamiyyathul Ulama, the principal Sunni Islam, Sunni-Shafi‘i, Shafi'i scholarly body in northern Kerala, in 1926. Life and career Varakkal Mullakoya was born at Puthiyangadi, Kozhikode, Puthiyangadi, Calicut in 1840 to Sayyid Muhammed Ba-Alawi and Marakkarathu Sherifa Cheriya Beevi in a prosperous Yemeni-origin sayyid (thangal) family. Kerala Nadvathul Mujahideen
Kerala Nadvathul Mujahideen (KNM) is an Islamic organization in the state of Kerala founded in 1950. The organization is part of the Islamic reformist ''Mujahid'' Movement and follows the principles of Salafism. The Kerala Nadvathul Mujahideen was formed as a result of renaissance activities among Keralite Muslims led by scholars and clerics such as Sheikh Hamadani Thangal, K.M. Moulavi and Vakkom Moulavi and E. Moidu Moulavi and Ummer Moulavi. Kerala Nadvathul Mujahideen is considered as the successor of Kerala Muslim Aikya Sangam, the first Muslim organization in the state of Kerala, founded in 1924. Ma'din Academy registered as Ma'dinu Ssaquafathil Islamiyya under Societies Registration Act of 1860. Sunni Students' Federation
The Sunni Students Federation (SSF) is an Islamic students' organisation in India. Originated in Kerala in 1973 under the patronage of Kanthapuram A. P. Aboobacker Musliyar. It is affiliated to Samastha Kerala Jem-iyyathul Ulama (AP Sunnis) and Kerala Muslim Jamaath. SSF held the golden fifty National Conference at Mumbai on 2023 November 24, 25 and 26.
