Samantha Wallace (netball)
Samantha Wallace (born 16 January 1994) is a netball player from Trinidad and Tobago, who played for the New South Wales Swifts in the Suncorp Super Netball league. Career Wallace moved to Australia to play for the New South Wales Swifts at the start of the 2017 season, having been recruited from the Hertfordshire Mavericks of the English Netball League. She is the first player from Trinidad and Tobago to play in Australia's netball competition. Wallace has played at the goal shooter for the duration of her time at the Swifts. In 2019 she was part of the Swifts premiership team and was awarded the MVP Award for her performance in the 2019 Super Netball Grand Final. Wallace has represented the Trinidad and Tobago national netball team at the 2015 and 2019 Netball World Cup. Hertfordshire Mavericks
London Mavericks is an English netball team based at the University of Hertfordshire in Hatfield. Their senior team plays in the Netball Super League where they were a founding member in 2005–06. They are two time Super League champions in 2007–08 and 2011. Due to various sponsorship deals and partnership arrangements, the team has played under several different 'Mavericks' names. They adopted their current name ahead of the 2025 season. Previously the franchise represented just England Netball's East Region, however as London Mavericks this has expanded to include Middlesex from London and South East. The 2019 Netball World Cup (also known as the 2019 Vitality Netball World Cup for sponsorship reasons) was the 15th edition of the INF Netball World Cup. It was held from 12–21 July 2019 at the Liverpool Arena in Liverpool, England with matches being held on two courts. Host nation England finished their campaign with a bronze medal. New Zealand became 5th time champions after beating Australia in the final and gold medal match. Sixteen nations contested for the title, which included the top six of the previous tournament which was held in Sydney, Australia. After two group stage rounds, Australia, England, New Zealand and South Africa all made it to the semi-finals. Towera Vinkhumbo (born 14 February 1991), also referred to as Towera Vinkhumbo-Nyirenda or Towera Nyirenda, is a Malawi netball international and a Malawi women's football international. As a netball player she represented Malawi at the 2010, 2014 and 2018 Commonwealth Games and at the 2011, 2015 and 2019 Netball World Cups.
