Samajwadi Alliance
Samajwadi Alliance (SP+; ), is a major political alliance led by the Samajwadi Party in the Indian state of Uttar Pradesh. 2022 Uttar Pradesh Legislative Assembly election Rashtriya Lok Dal, RLD was the first to join the alliance. The Nationalist Congress Party, NCP and RJD too joined the alliance later. Various other smaller parties too joined while SBSP broke away from its alliance to join SP alliance. During the first seat sharing talks, SP agreed to give RLD 36 seats. Initially, RLD demanded 60 seats while SP were willing to give up to 30, later both the parties finalised at 33 with RLD mostly competing in Western Uttar Pradesh, West UP. RLD gave 8 symbol of SP candidates. Aam Aadmi Party and Samajwadi Party began talks for alliance, however they couldn't agree on seat sharing. Akhilesh Yadav
Akhilesh Yadav (; born 1 July 1973) is an Indian politician and national president of the Samajwadi Party who served as the 20th Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh. Having assumed the chief minister's office on 15 March 2012 at the age of 38, he is the youngest person to have held the office till date. He is the incumbent Member of Parliament, Lok Sabha, Member of Parliament for Kannauj (Lok Sabha constituency), Kannauj in the 18th Lok Sabha. Pragatisheel Samajwadi Party (Lohia) (translation: ''Progressive Socialist Party (Lohia)''), earlier known as Samajwadi Secular Morcha, was a political party formed by former cabinet minister of Uttar Pradesh Shivpal Singh Yadav after leaving the Samajwadi Party on 29 August 2018. Ajay Rai (born 7 October 1969) is an Indian politician and a member of the Indian National Congress since 2012. He is a five-time MLA from Uttar Pradesh. He was the 12th Uttar Pradesh Congress chief. 2024 Indian General Election In Uttar Pradesh
The 2024 Indian general election was held in Uttar Pradesh in seven phases from 19 April to 1 June to elect 80 members of the 18th Lok Sabha, with the results declared on 4 June. Bypolls for Dadraul, Lucknow East, Gainsari, and Duddhi assembly constituencies were held alongside this election. Uttar Pradesh, along with 2024 Indian general election in Bihar, Bihar and 2024 Indian general election in West Bengal, West Bengal, were the only states where the 2024 Indian general election was held in all seven phases.
