Sam Tolchard (born 27 May 1989) is an English international lawn and indoor bowler. Profile In 2009, he won the singles and triples silver medals at the Atlantic Bowls Championships and the following year in 2010, he won the Hong Kong International Bowls Classic pairs title with Robert Newman. He competed for England in the men's pairs at the 2014 Commonwealth Games where he won a bronze medal. He was selected as part of the English team for the 2018 Commonwealth Games on the Gold Coast in Queensland where he claimed a bronze medal in the Fours with David Bolt, Jamie Chestney and Louis Ridout. In 2019, he won the triples bronze medal at the Atlantic Bowls Championships and in 2020 he was selected for the 2020 World Outdoor Bowls Championship in Australia. Jamie Walker (born 20 December 1991) is an English international bowls player. Bowls career Outdoors In 2013, he won two gold medals at the European Bowls Championships in Spain. He was named as the 2015 Thomas Taylor 'Bowler of the Year' after securing a National title in 2015 and winning the singles gold medal and the triples bronze medal at the Atlantic Bowls Championships. In 2016 he won two more National titles, the Junior singles and Mixed fours at Leamington Spa. 2020 World Outdoor Bowls Championship
The 2020 World Outdoor Bowls Championship was to be the 14th edition of the World Championships to be held at the Broadbeach Bowls Club, Musgrave Hill Bowls Club and Club Helensvale on the Gold Coast in Queensland, Australia. There were to be eight events that determined the 2021 world champions, the men's singles, doubles, triples and fours and the women's singles, doubles, triples and fours and in addition there are two overall team winners who receive the Leonard and Taylor trophies respectively. It was originally scheduled from 23 May to 7 June 2020 but the event was officially cancelled on 9 March 2021. Louis Ridout is an English international indoor and outdoor bowls player. Bowls career In 2015 he won the pairs bronze medal at the Atlantic Bowls Championships. In 2016 he won the National title in the Pairs with Sam Tolchard. The bowler who represents Devon represented England during the 2016 World Outdoor Bowls Championship. He was selected as part of the English team for the 2018 Commonwealth Games on the Gold Coast in Queensland where he claimed a bronze medal in the Fours with David Bolt, Jamie Chestney and Sam Tolchard. Jamie Chestney (born 15 November 1986) is an English male international lawn and indoor bowler. Bowls career International achievements His first major international medal came in 2011 when he won the singles and triples gold medals at the Atlantic Bowls Championships. The following year he gained a bronze medal at the 2012 World Outdoor Bowls Championship in the pairs competition with Graham Shadwell. Robert Newman (bowls)
Robert Newman (born 1975) is a former English international bowls player. Bowls career Newman won three bronze medals in the World Bowls Championship. The first two in the triples and fours at the 2004 World Outdoor Bowls Championship in Ayr followed by another bronze in the fours at the 2008 World Outdoor Bowls Championship in Christchurch. Newman also won a bronze medal at the lawn bowls competition at the 2010 Commonwealth Games. He announced his retirement in 2016.
