Samuel Paul Osborne (born 10 January 1999) is an English footballer who plays for National League North side Buxton. Osborne started his career at Dunkirk before moving to Notts County in 2016 where he played for four years, winning two Young Player of the Season awards before moving to Warwickshire side Leamington in 2020. Football career Early career Osborne played youth football for Dunkirk before progressing to the senior team during the 2015–16 season. Notts County Osborne signed for Notts County in 2016, making his debut on 7 January 2017 in a 4–1 defeat away at Morecambe. Samuel Osborn (surgeon)
Samuel Osborn (15 April 1848, London – 16 April 1936, Datchet, Buckinghamshire) was a British general surgeon, chief surgeon to the metropolitan corps of the St John Ambulance Brigade, obstetrician, gynaecologist, and author. The only son of Samuel Osborn (1814–1869), FRCS, the junior Samuel Osborn was educated at Epsom College and at Wren's (a "crammer" for the British army examinations) and then entered St Thomas' Hospital, where he was a house surgeon and for five years an anesthetist. He qualified LSA in 1870 and MRCS in 1871 and was elected FRCS in 1876. He was a surgeon in Royal Navy Artillery Volunteers for 12 years. From 1880 to 1922 he was surgeon to the Surgical Appliance Association and to the Metropolitan Convalescent Institution. Samuel Osborn and Company was a steelmaker and engineering tool manufacturer situated in Sheffield, South Yorkshire. Early life Samuel Osborn junior was born in Sheffield in 1826, his father, also named Samuel, was a partner in the firm of Clark and Osborn, makers of pocket knives, razors, brushes and tortoiseshell combs. Samuel junior did not follow in fathers footsteps but, leaving school at 15, he joined city drapers, T.B. & W Cockayne. After seven years he moved into the steel industry and joined toolmakers Thomas Ellin & Son later moving to Henry Russell & Company where he became a travelling salesman. Branching out on his own In 1851 he set up on his own as a file manufacturer with premises in Broad Lane which were named Clyde Works. Samuel Osborne-Gibbes
Sir Samuel Osborne-Gibbes, 2nd Baronet (27 August 1803 – 12 November 1874) was a British Army officer, Freemason, plantation owner and politician. Born in England, he spent his early years on his father's sugar plantation on Barbados. After his parents' death, he was brought up by an uncle in England. After some military service, he took over the sugar plantation in Barbados, where he remained until the abolition of slavery in 1833. He returned to England, but left his home country in 1850 for Sydney in Australia. In 1855, he emigrated to New Zealand, where he remained for the rest of his life. He was one of the highest Masons in the country and was a Member of the New Zealand Legislative Council from 1855 to 1863. The baronetcy was inherited from his grandfather and passed on to his son Edward.
