Sam Elliott (cricketer)
Samuel M. Elliott (born 18 February 2000) is an Australian cricketer. In May 2019, Elliott was awarded a rookie contract with Victoria ahead of the 2019–20 season. He made his List A debut on 8 April 2021, for Victoria in the 2020–21 Marsh One-Day Cup. He made his Twenty20 debut on 5 December 2021, for the Melbourne Stars in the 2021–22 Big Bash League season. He made his first class debut for Victoria on 24 November 2022, against Tasmania in the 2022–23 Sheffield Shield. In September 2024, Elliott took 7/12 against Tasmania in the 2024–25 One-Day Cup, the best figures by a Victorian in the domestic one-day competition. Mitcham ( ) is an eastern suburb of Melbourne, Victoria, Australia, 20 km east from Melbourne's Central Business District, located within the City of Whitehorse local government area. Victorian Football League
The Victorian Football League (VFL) is an Australian rules football competition in Australia operated by the Australian Football League (AFL) as a second-tier, regional, semi-professional competition. It includes teams from clubs based in eastern states of Australia: Victoria (Australia), Victoria, New South Wales and Queensland, including reserve team, reserves teams for the eastern state AFL clubs. Northern Bullants
The Northern Bullants are a semi-professional Australian rules football club that currently competes in the Victorian Football League (VFL). The club, which is based in the Melbourne suburb of Preston, plays its home games at Preston City Oval. The club was established in 1882 as the Preston Football Club, the name which the club is still legally registered under. The club participated in the Victorian Football Association (VFA) between 1903 and 1911, and then since 1926. After World War II, the club was known as the Bullants, and wore a plain red guernsey with a white monogram. The club later became the Northern Bullants. Matthew Thomas Gray Elliott (born 28 September 1971) is an Australian former cricketer, who played as a left-handed opening batsman. Beginnings with Victoria After he made his debut for Victoria in the 1992–93 season, he soon established himself as one of the top opening batsmen in Australian domestic cricket. Test career Elliott was called up to the Australian national team in the 1996–97 season, making his Test debut against the West Indies in November 1996. Unfortunately for Elliott, in just his second Test match he was injured in a mid-pitch collision with teammate Mark Waugh, resulting in the need for knee surgery. Elliott returned for the 1996–97 tour of South Africa. He retained his place for the 1997 tour of England, scoring two centuries in the Ashes series, including a career-best 199.
