Sam Cogan
Samantha "Sam" Cogan (born July 7, 1997) is a Canadian professional ice hockey forward who most recently played for the Toronto Sceptres of the Professional Women's Hockey League (PWHL). She played college ice hockey at Wisconsin and won a national title with the team in 2019. Playing career Cogan first started playing hockey at six years old. Her father was initially apprehensive about her playing hockey but her mother and friends convinced him to let her play the sport. She shoots left. Junior Cogan began her junior career in the Provincial Women's Hockey League (PWHL or Provincial WHL; renamed Ontario Women's Hockey League in 2023) playing for the Nepean Wildcats in her home city of Ottawa, Ontario. The Ontario Women's Hockey League U22 Elite (OWHL), formerly the Provincial Women's Hockey League, is a women's junior ice hockey league in Ontario, Canada. 2024-25 PWHL Season
A coxless four, abbreviated as a 4- and also called a straight four, is a racing shell used in the sport of competitive rowing. It is designed for four persons who propel the boat with sweep oars, without a coxswain. The crew consists of four rowers, each having one oar. There are two rowers on the stroke side (rower's right hand side) and two on the bow side (rower's lefthand side). As there is no coxswain, the rudder is controlled by one of the crew, normally with the rudder cable attached to the toe of one of their shoes which can pivot about the ball of the foot, moving the cable left or right.
