Sam Clay
Samuel Thomas Hunter Clay (born June 21, 1993) is an American professional baseball pitcher who is a free agent. He has previously played in Major League Baseball (MLB) for the Washington Nationals and New York Mets. The Minnesota Twins selected Clay in the fourth round of the 2014 MLB draft. He made his MLB debut with the Nationals in 2021. Amateur career Clay attended Buford High School in Buford, Georgia. He enrolled at the Georgia Institute of Technology, where he played college baseball for the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets. The Elizabethton Twins were a Minor League Baseball team of the Appalachian League and a Rookie-level affiliate of the Minnesota Twins. They were located in Elizabethton, Tennessee, and were named for their Major League Baseball, major league affiliate. Kent Jeffrey Emanuel (born June 4, 1992) is an American professional baseball pitcher for the Diablos Rojos del México of the Mexican League. The 2020 Minnesota Twins season was the 60th season for the Minnesota Twins franchise in the Twin Cities of Minnesota, their 11th season at Target Field and the 120th overall in the American League. In baseball, a save ( SV or S) is credited to a pitcher who finishes a game for the winning team under certain circumstances. A save can be earned by entering a game in which his team is leading by three or fewer runs and finishing the game by pitching at least one inning without losing the lead; entering the game with the tying run in the on-deck circle, at the plate or on the bases and finishing the game; or by pitching at least three innings in relief and finishing the game regardless of how many runs your team was winning by when entering the game.
