Sam Boghosian
Sam Boghosian (December 22, 1931 – February 26, 2020) was an American college and professional football coach. He played college football as a guard for the UCLA Bruins, and was later an assistant coach at his alma mater. Boghosian was a key member of the 1954 national championship team in his senior season and was inducted into the UCLA Athletics Hall of Fame. As an offensive line coach, he won two Super Bowls with the Oakland / Los Angeles Raiders. Playing career Born and raised in Fresno, California, Boghosian graduated from Fresno High School and played for head coach Red Sanders at the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA) from 1952 through 1954. He was a member of the 1953 Bruins team that won the Pacific Coast Conference (PCC) title and went to the Rose Bowl. Fresno High School
Fresno High School is a four-year secondary school located in Fresno, California. Fresno High is the oldest high school in the Fresno metropolitan area and one of the few International Baccalaureate schools. As of 2021, Linda Laettner is the 29th and current principal of Fresno High. History Fresno High School was founded in 1889. The new school quickly outgrew the available space and had to be moved to the White School, where the Memorial Auditorium is located today. Plans for a new high school building were developed. In September 1896, the school year began in the new building on 0 Street between Stanislaus and Tuolumne streets. The new back structure, with its clock tower, had the latest and most modern facilities, including a chemistry laboratory, gymnasium, library, and lecture hall. 1966 Oklahoma Sooners Football Team
The 1966 Oklahoma Sooners football team represented the University of Oklahoma during the 1966 NCAA University Division football season. Led by first-year head coach Jim Mackenzie, they played their home games at Oklahoma Memorial Stadium and competed as members of the Big Eight Conference. A longtime assistant at Arkansas, Mackenzie was hired in December 1965. The 1965 Oregon State Beavers football team represented Oregon State University in the Athletic Association of Western Universities (AAWU) during the 1965 NCAA University Division football season. In their first season under head coach Dee Andros, the Beavers compiled a 5–5 record (1–3 in AAWU, seventh), and were outscored 162 to 125. They had only three home games, two on campus at Parker Stadium in Corvallis and one at Multnomah Stadium in Portland. The 1957 UCLA Bruins football team was an American football team that represented the University of California, Los Angeles in the Pacific Coast Conference during the 1957 NCAA University Division football season. In their ninth and final year under head coach Red Sanders, the Bruins compiled an 8–2 record (5–2 in PCC, third). The 1950 California Golden Bears football team was an American football team that represented the University of California, Berkeley in the Pacific Coast Conference (PCC) during the 1950 college football season. In their fourth year under head coach Pappy Waldorf, the team compiled a 9–1–1 record (5–0–1 against PCC opponents), won the PCC championship, lost to Michigan in the 1951 Rose Bowl, was ranked No. 5 in the final AP Poll, and outscored its opponents by a combined total of 224 to 90.
