Sam Barlow (rugby League)
Sam Barlow (born 7 March 1988) is a Scotland international rugby league footballer who plays for the Bradford Bulls in the Championship. Background Barlow was born in Halifax, West Yorkshire, England. Playing career Barlow represented England at academy level, and in 2007 he signed a two-year contract with Huddersfield Giants following a trial at the club. He left the club to go to Sheffield on loan after 8 appearances. In August 2009 Barlow left to join Halifax. In September 2010, Sheffield Eagles threatened legal action against Barlow and Halifax due to a breach of contract. Barlow had been released by Sheffield Eagles on the condition that he did not play against the club during the rest of the season, but this agreement was broken when Barlow played (and scored a try) in Halifax's 42–16 victory over Sheffield Eagles in the Championship play-off semi finals. Halifax, West Yorkshire
Halifax () is a minster and market town in the Metropolitan Borough of Calderdale in West Yorkshire, England. It is the commercial, cultural and administrative centre of the borough, and the headquarters of Calderdale Council. Josh Barlow (born 15 May 1991) is a former Scotland international rugby league footballer who last played for Halifax and the Swinton Lions. Background Barlow was born in Halifax, West Yorkshire, England. Playing career Barlow started playing rugby league with amateur side King Cross before joining Wigan at the age of 16. He played in the club's academy sides, but failed to make a first-team appearance. He then moved to Australia, where he played in the Illawarra League where he played for Berkeley Eagles and Collegians clubs, but returned to Britain later that year and joined Huddersfield. In autumn 2010, he signed for hometown club Halifax. Barlow left Halifax at the end of the 2012 season to join Swinton. Featherstone is a town and civil parish in the City of Wakefield, West Yorkshire, England, two miles south-west of Pontefract. Dewsbury Rams
The Dewsbury Rams are a professional English rugby league club based in Dewsbury, West Yorkshire that compete in the Championship. They play their home games at the Tetley's Stadium, on Owl Lane. The Rams' main fanbase comes from their hometown of Dewsbury, but they also hold a strong following in Shaw Cross as well as in neighbouring Gawthorpe and Ossett, among other places. Prior to the 1997 season, the club was known as Dewsbury R.L.F.C. The club won their sole league title in 1972–73, after finishing the regular season in 8th place.
