Salvador LRT
The Salvador LRT (), also known as Salvador and Metropolitan Region LRT or Suburban LRT, is a Brazilian urban rail transit system public transport, based on light rail transport (LRT) system, currently under construction in Salvador and Simões Filho, municipalities in the Metropolitan Region of Salvador, Bahia. The system was conceived to replace and expand the old Suburban Train of Salvador, or "Suburban Train." Initially proposed in 2015 and bid in 2017 without participants, a public-private partnership was signed in 2019 with BYD under the consortium ''Skyrail Bahia'' for an elevated monorail system of 36.4 kilometers, comprising three sections and 34 stops. The system is expected to be fully integrated with Salvador Metro system, transforming Bahia capital city mass transport. CAF Urbos
The CAF Urbos is a family of trams, streetcars, and light rail vehicles built by Construcciones y Auxiliar de Ferrocarriles, CAF. The Spain, Spanish manufacturer CAF previously made locomotives, passenger cars, regional, and underground trains. In 1993, CAF started building trams for Metrovalencia, with the delivery of 16 trams until 1999. This was a variant of a Siemens design and some components were delivered by Siemens, including bogies and traction motors. This design was also sold to Trams in Lisbon, Lisbon Trams in 1995; CAF then decided to design and build the Urbos in-house. There are three generations of the CAF Urbos, namely the Urbos 1, Urbos 2, and Urbos 3. The first generation was ordered by the Bilbao tram operator, who received eight trams between 2002 and 2004. ALWEG
Alweg was a transportation company based in Germany known for pioneering straddle-beam monorails. History Alweg was founded by Sweden, Swedish industrial magnate Dr. Axel Wenner-Gren, Axel Lennart Wenner-Gren in January 1953 as Alweg-Forschung, GmbH (Alweg Research Corporation), based in Fühlingen, a suburb of Cologne, Germany. The company was an outgrowth of the Verkehrsbahn-Studiengesellschaft (Transit Railway Study Group), which had already presented its first monorail designs and prototypes in the previous year.
