Salsali Private Museum
The Salsali Private Museum ''SPM in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, was one of the first private museums in the region for contemporary Middle Eastern and international art. It was founded in November 2011 by Ramin Salsali and was located in the industrial area of Al Quoz on Alserkal Avenue, a complex known in the region for its concentration of galleries and creative spaces. Exhibitions at SPM featured artworks from the Salsali collection and exhibits from across the globe. SPM served as an independent center for art collectors. The museum was permanently closed in March 2019 Founder Ramin Salsali began collecting art at the age of 21. Alserkal Avenue is an industrial compound hosting warehouses in the industrial zone of Al Quoz, in Dubai. The area is an arts and culture district for Dubai with lineup of galleries, facilities and platforms, such as Alserkal Avenue that houses residencies for local and global artists. Hazem Harb
Hazem Harb (; born 1980) is a Palestinian contemporary multidisciplinary visual artist, and photographer. Much of his work is collage, with the use of archival documents related to Palestinian history and culture. He was born in Gaza City, and has resided in Rome and Dubai. Life and career Hazem Harb was born in 1980, in Gaza City, Palestine. He began drawing as a young child. His earliest art classes were at the Young Men's Christian Association (YMCA) in Gaza. Harb moved to Italy in 2005. He attended the Accademia di Belle Arti di Roma (Academy of Fine Arts of Rome), and received a MFA degree in 2009 from the Istituto Europeo di Design in Rome. Much of his work is characterized by its meticulous collaging, and his use of archival documents, ranging from artifacts from Palestine to personal family photos.
