Salsa E Merengue
Salsa e Merengue is a Brazilian telenovela produced and broadcast at the 7pm timeslot by TV Globo, from September 30, 1996 to May 2, 1997, in 177 episodes. It is written by Miguel Falabella and Maria Carmem Barbosa, with text supervision of Gilberto Braga and directed by Wolf Maya. Telenovela
A telenovela is a type of a television serial drama or soap opera produced primarily in Latin America. The word combines ''tele'' (for "television") and ''novela'' (meaning "novel"). Similar drama genres around the world include '' teleserye'' (Philippines), '' téléroman'' (Canada, specifically Quebec), and '' sinetron'' (Indonesia). Commonly described using the American colloquialism Spanish soap opera, many telenovelas share some stylistic and thematic similarities to the soap opera familiar to the English-speaking world. Nelson Agostini Xavier (30 August 1941 – 10 May 2017) was a Brazilian actor. He appeared in more than 95 films and television shows between 1959 and 2017. He starred in the 1964 film '' Os Fuzis'', which won the Silver Bear Extraordinary Jury Prize at the 14th Berlin International Film Festival. In 1976 Xavier co-directed '' A Queda'' along with Ruy Guerra, a sequel to '' Os Fuzis''. Mara Virgínia Manzan (28 May 1952 – 13 November 2009) was a Brazilian actress. Biography Manzan was born in the city of São Paulo in 1952. At the age of 17, she visited the Teatro Oficina and, as she used to say jokingly, never left it.
