Salmon Arm Silverbacks
The Salmon Arm Silverbacks are a junior "A" ice hockey team from Salmon Arm, British Columbia, Canada. They are a part of the British Columbia Hockey League. The Silverbacks returned a BCHL team to Shuswap/Salmon Arm 12 years after the previous team ceased operations, known at various times as the Totems, Blazers, and Tigers between 1982 and 1989. Salmon Arm
Salmon Arm is a city in the Columbia Shuswap Regional District of the Southern Interior of the Canadian province of British Columbia that has a population of 17,706 (2016). Salmon Arm was incorporated as a municipal district on May 15, 1905. The city of Salmon Arm separated from the district in 1912, but was downgraded to a village in 1958. In 1970, the city of Salmon Arm once again reunited with the District Municipality. Salmon Arm once again became a city in 2005, and is now the location of the head offices of the Columbia-Shuswap Regional District. It is a tourist town in the summer, with many beaches, camping facilities and house boat rentals. Salmon Arm is home to the longest wooden freshwater wharf in North America. Brendon Gregory Nash (born March 31, 1987) is a Canadian former professional ice hockey player. He last played for the Graz 99ers of the Austrian Hockey League (EBEL). Brendon is the brother of Riley Nash. Braden Murray (born August 17, 1984) is a Canadian born- American former professional ice hockey forward. He last played for HC Lugano of the Swiss National League A (NLA). He was selected 152nd overall in the 2003 NHL Entry Draft by the Los Angeles Kings. Murray was born in Brandon, Manitoba and raised in Faribault, Minnesota. Joshua David Manson (born October 7, 1991) is a Canadian-American professional ice hockey defenceman for the Colorado Avalanche of the National Hockey League (NHL).
