Salimbeni Prize
The Salimbeni Prize (''Il Premio Salimbeni per la Storia e la Critica d'Arte'') is awarded by the Fondazione Salimbeni per le Arti Figurative of San Severino Marche to honour excellence in the writing of art history on an Italian subject. San Severino Marche
San Severino Marche is a ''comune'' (municipality) in the Province of Macerata in the Italian region Marche, located about southwest of Ancona and about southwest of Macerata. History From prehistory to Roman age The oldest remains of human presence in San Severino date back to the Palaeolithic and their provenance is from the area of Stigliano. But there are other remains, found in many localities of the communal territory, documenting several settlements in the area in different ages. Cristina Acidini (born 15 May 1951) is an Italian author and art historian. Her name also appears as Cristina Acidini Luchinat. She is the former Superintendent of Museum and Artistic Heritage State Board for the Florence area from 1991 to 1999. About She was born on 15 May 1951 in Florence, Italy. Gianluigi Colalucci (24 December 1929 – 28 March 2021) was an Italian Master Restorer and academic most known for being the chief restorer of the Sistine Chapel in the Vatican City from 1980 to 1994. Career Colalucci graduated in the restoration of painting on wood, mural, and canvas, from the in 1953, where he was a pupil of Cesare Brandi. Julian Gardner is an Australian lawyer renowned for his promotion of human rights through the practice of law.
