Saleh Saad
Saleh Saad ( ar, صالح سعد, he, סאלח סעד; born 20 July 1963) is an Druze-Israeli politician. He served as a member of the Knesset for the Zionist Union and Labor Party between 2017 and 2019. Biography Saad was born in Beit Jann, and served in the Israeli security forces as a combatant for twelve years. Beit Jann
Beit Jann ( ar, بيت جن; he, בֵּיתּ גַ'ן) is a Druze village on Mount Meron in northern Israel. At 940 meters above sea level, Beit Jann is one of the highest inhabited locations in the country. In it had a population of . Etymology Guérin noted that the village was known as ''Beitegene'' or ''Bette-Gen'' during the Middle Ages. He suggested that the village's name during antiquity was he, בֵּית גַּנִּים, lit=, translit=Beth-Jannim, "House of Gardens", since it was surrounded by orchards and vineyards, as evidenced by the ancient terraces nearby. History Beit Jann is an ancient village site at the top of a hill. Old stones have been reused in village homes, and cisterns and tombs carved into rock have also been found. Manuel Trajtenberg
Prof. Manuel Trajtenberg ( he, מנואל טרכטנברג born 21 September 1950) is an Israeli economist and chair of the Planning and Budgeting Committee of the Council for Higher Education in Israel. He was appointed by Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu in August 2011 to lead a committee for negotiations with the Israeli protesters and for recommending economic measures to overcome the crisis. Trajtenberg joined the Zionist Union list in December 2014 and was elected to the Knesset in 2015. However, he left politics in 2017. Hatnua ( he, הַתְּנוּעָה, lit=''The Movement'') was a liberal political party in Israel formed by former Israeli Foreign Minister and Vice Prime Minister Tzipi Livni to present an alternative to voters frustrated by the stalemate in the Israeli–Palestinian peace process. The party was formed by dissidents in Kadima, which Livni, who had led the party's progressive wing, headed until March 2012 when she lost a leadership primary election to rival Shaul Mofaz, who was part of the party's more conservative wing.
