Sal Cannella (American Football)
Salvatore Cannella (born December 2, 1996) is an American professional football tight end for the Cleveland Browns of the National Football League (NFL). He played college football for Auburn. After going undrafted in the 2020 NFL draft he signed with the TSL Generals of The Spring League (TSL). He also played for the Green Bay Packers, the Miami Dolphins, and the Seattle Seahawks of the NFL, and the New Orleans Breakers of the United States Football League (USFL). Early life Cannella was born in Schaumburg, Illinois, but grew up in Arlington Heights, Illinois. He reportedly did not play football his junior year at high school at St. Viator High School, in order to focus on basketball. College career Cannella attended Scottsdale Community College where he hauled in 29 receptions for 443 yards and seven touchdowns over 10 games. Tight End
The tight end (TE) is an offense (sports), offensive position in American football, arena football, and Canadian football. It is a hybrid that combines the characteristics and roles of both an offensive lineman and a receiver (football), receiver. As part of the receiver corps, they play inside the flanks (tight), contrasted with the split end who plays outside the flanks (wide). Like offensive linemen, they are usually lined up on the offensive line and are large enough to be effective blockers. On the other hand, unlike offensive linemen, they are eligible receivers and potent weapons in a team's offensive schemes. 2025 UFL Season
The 2025 UFL season is the current second season of the United Football League. The Birmingham Stallions were the defending champions after they defeated the San Antonio Brahmas in the 2024 UFL Championship Game to win their third consecutive spring football championship, adding to their back-to-back championships in the rebooted USFL. The Stallions were defeated in the 2025 USFL Championship Game by the Michigan Panthers, and the DC Defenders routed the Panthers 58–34 to win their first UFL Championship. Washington Huskies Football Team
The Washington Huskies football team represents the University of Washington in college football. Washington competed in the NCAA Division I Football Bowl Subdivision (FBS) as a member of the Big Ten Conference, after having been a charter member of the Pac-12 Conference until the end of the 2023-2024 season. Husky Stadium, located on campus in Seattle, has been the Huskies' home field since 1920. Washington has won 18 conference championships, seven Rose Bowls, and claims two national championships recognized by NCAA-designated major selectors. Of these however, Washington's only national championship was in 1991, when the team finished No. 1 in the Coaches' Poll.
