Sairol Sahari
Sairol bin Haji Sahari (born 9 April 1983) is a Bruneian retired footballer who played as a defender. He is currently an assistant coach at Kasuka FC. Club career Sairol began his career as a young left-sided midfielder for the Brunei team which played in the Malaysian league system. After leaving the country's representative side in 2004, he helped NBT FC gain promotion to the domestic top flight, serving as captain. He moved to DPMM FC in 2006 when the club had entered the Malaysia Premier League in Brunei FA's place. He was sent on loan to Indera SC in 2010 while DPMM was prevented from playing in the S.League due to a FIFA suspension of Brunei. On 25 April 2016, Sairol suffered an anterior cruciate ligament injury in training and was absent for the remaining 2016 S.League season. 2012 AFF Suzuki Cup Qualification
The 2012 AFF Championship qualification tournament was the qualification process for the 2012 AFF Championship, the ninth edition of the ASEAN Football Championship. It was held in Yangon, Myanmar from 5 to 13 October 2012, and involved the five lower ranked teams in Southeast Asia. The format was a single round-robin tournament with the top two teams qualifying for the tournament proper. Brunei made a comeback, after being re-instated towards the end of May 2011 by FIFA, following their suspension since September 2009. While the Philippines were one of the six seeded teams and gained direct entry to the main tournament, after reaching the semi-finals for the first time in the 2010 edition. 2004 AFC Asian Cup Qualification
The qualification process for the 2004 AFC Asian Cup football competition began in March 2003. Out of the 45 AFC members, only Cambodia and the Philippines failed to enter for the tournament. Both China, the hosts and Japan, the reigning champions automatically qualified for the finals. The lowest ranked 20 teams were placed in 6 preliminary qualifying groups of 3 and one group of 2, with the group winners joining the remaining 21 teams in 7 groups of 4. 2001 Southeast Asian Games
The 2001 Southeast Asian Games ( ms, Sukan Asia Tenggara 2001), officially known as the 21st Southeast Asian Games, was a Southeast Asian multi-sport event held in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. This was the fifth time that Malaysia plays as SEA Games hosts, the country previously held the event in 1965, 1971, 1977, and 1989, all of which were staged in Kuala Lumpur. Held from 8 to 17 September 2001 (although several events had commenced from 1 September 2001), these were the first SEA Games to have taken place in the new millennium. 2022 Brunei FA Cup
The 2022 Brunei FA Cup was the 13th edition of the Brunei FA Cup and was the sole club competition organised by the Football Association of Brunei Darussalam for the year 2022. It began on August 6 and will be played until 4 December. The winner of the FA Cup will become the nation's representative for the 2023–24 AFC Cup. DPMM FC became the winners of the competition by beating Kasuka FC 2–1 in the final at Track & Field Sports Complex on 4 December. This is DPMM's second FA Cup triumph after last winning it in 2004. Competition format 32 teams were divided into groups of four, making eight groups in total. Teams will only play one round of matches, and the top two teams in the group table will advance to the knockout stage.
