Saint-Louis-de-Blandford, Quebec is a small town north east of Montreal. Located on the Bécancour River in Arthabaska county in the Centre-du-Québec region, the town was incorporated in 1855 and has a current population of 1,076 inhabitants (Statistics Canada, 2021); this number varies seasonally, as many local residences are summer cottages. Saint-Louis-de-Blandford is known for its high concentration of cranberry bogs; the majority of cranberry cultivation in the province of Quebec happens in and around the town. To take further advantage of this plentiful natural resource and boost the town's tourism revenue, an interpretation centre offers educational presentations and visits to local cranberry bogs for groups and interested visitors. Route 165 is a 68 km north–south highway on the south shore of the Saint Lawrence River in Quebec, Canada. Its southern terminus is in Black Lake, now part of Thetford Mines, at the junction of Route 112 and its northern terminus is in Saint-Louis-de-Blandford at the junction of Autoroute 20. The stretch between Plessisville and Black Lake used to be Route 265 but it was re-numbered Route 165 in the 1990s. Quebec Autoroute 20
Autoroute 20 is a Quebec Autoroute, following the Saint Lawrence River through one of the more densely populated parts of Canada, with its central section forming the main route of the Trans-Canada Highway from the A-25 interchange to the A-85 interchange. At , it is the longest Autoroute in Quebec. It is one of two main links between Montreal and Quebec City; the other is the A-40. There are two sections of the A-20, separated by a gap. The mainline extends for from the Ontario border to its current terminus at Trois-Pistoles. The second, more northerly section is far shorter (). Constructed as a super two autoroute (one lane in each direction), this section of the A-20 bypasses Rimouski to the south and ends at a roundabout junction with Highway 132 in Mont-Joli.
