Chastre (; , ) is a French-speaking municipality in Belgium that is located in Wallonia, in the province of Walloon Brabant. Its name comes from the Gallo-Roman word ''castra'' "fortress, fortified camp", Jean-Jacques Jespers, ''Dictionnaire des noms de lieux en Wallonie et à Bruxelles'', Éditions Racine, 2005, from the Latin ''castra'' which is the plural form of ''castrum'' meaning "entrenchment, fortified place". Chastre is a rural and at the same time residential municipality, with 7,684 inhabitants. Chastre comprises seven former villages: Chastre, Villeroux, Blanmont, Cortil-Noirmont, Gentinnes and Saint-Géry. It is crossed by the old Chaussée Brunehaut, a Roman way that connected Bavay to Cologne. The Arrondissement of Nivelles (; ) is an arrondissement in Wallonia and Belgium. It is the only arrondissement in the province of Walloon Brabant, and is coterminous with it. Otto I, Holy Roman Emperor
Otto I (23 November 912 – 7 May 973), known as Otto the Great ( ) or Otto of Saxony ( ), was East Francia, East Frankish (Kingdom of Germany, German) king from 936 and Holy Roman Emperor from 962 until his death in 973. He was the eldest son of Henry the Fowler and Matilda of Ringelheim. Otto inherited the Duchy of Saxony and the kingship of the Germans upon his father's death in 936. Dyle (river)
The Dyle (; ) is a river in central Belgium, left tributary of the Rupel. It is long. It flows through the Belgian provinces of Walloon Brabant, Flemish Brabant and Antwerp. Its source is in Houtain-le-Val, near Nivelles in Walloon Brabant. The most important cities along the Dyle are (starting from the source) Ottignies, Wavre, Leuven and Mechelen, the last of which is often called the 'Dijlestad' (Dyle City). The main tributaries of the Dyle are the rivers Demer (in Werchter, Rotselaar municipality), and the Zenne at the ''Zennegat'', on the farthest outskirts of Mechelen, where the canal Leuven-Mechelen also connects.
