Saham Club
Saham Club () is an Football clubs of Oman, Omani sports club based in Saham, in northeastern Oman. The club currently plays in the Oman Professional League, top division of Oman Football Association. Their home stadium is Sohar Regional Sports Complex. The stadium is government owned. The club also owns its own stadium and sports equipment, as well as its own training facilities. History The club was founded on 24 April 1972 and registered on 26 June 2002. The club was promoted to the Omani League after winning the final of 2007-08 First Division League, where the club defeated Al-Shabab (Oman), Al-Shabab Club on penalties. The club caused a major upset when they beat 7-time Sultan Qaboos Cup winners, Dhofar (football club), Dhofar in 2009, receiving their first ever Sultan Qaboos Cup title. Sohar Regional Sports Complex
Sohar Regional Sports Complex is a multi-use stadium in Sohar, Oman. It is currently used mainly for hosting association football, football matches and is the home ground of Sohar Club. Team Handball
Handball (also known as team handball, European handball, Olympic handball or indoor handball) is a team sport in which two teams of seven players each (six outcourt players and a Handball goalkeeper, goalkeeper) pass a ball using their hands with the aim of throwing it into the goal of the opposing team. A standard match consists of two periods of 30 minutes, and the team that scores more goals wins. Modern handball is played on a court of , with a goal in the middle of each end. Oman Professional League Cup
The Oman Professional League Cup () (known as the ''Mazda Professional Cup'' for sponsorship reasons), previously known as the Oman Federation Cup, is an Omani football competition. The first edition was played in 2007 and was known as the Oman FA Cup. The competition was not played again until 2012. The competition tends to feature all clubs currently playing in the top flight. The Professional League Cup ranks far below the prestigious Sultan Qaboos Cup in terms of domestic competitions. In 2014, ahead of the 2014-15 Oman Professional League Cup, Oman Football Association announced that Mazda had agreed to sponsor the Professional League Cup and would be known as the Mazda Professional Cup for a period of four years. The 2015–16 Sultan Qaboos Cup is the 43rd edition of the Sultan Qaboos Cup (), the premier knockout tournament for football teams in Oman. The competition began on 23 October 2015 with the Qualification round. Al-Oruba SC were the defending champions, having won their fourth title in 2015. On Saturday 30 April 2016, Saham Club overcame Al-Khaboura SC with a solitary goal victory and to lay their hands on the prestigious Sultan Qaboos Cup trophy only for the second time in the club's history. The 2009 Sultan Qaboos Cup was the 37th edition of the Sultan Qaboos Cup (), the premier knockout tournament for football teams in Oman. The competition began on 25 September 2009 with the Round of 32 and concluded on 7 December 2009. Al-Suwaiq Club were the defending champions, having won their first title in 2008.
