Sagliains (Rhaetian Railway Station)
Sagliains railway station is a connecting station on the Bever–Scuol-Tarasp railway in Sagliains, Switzerland. It is located at km 128.67 at 1432 m above sea level at the exit from the Sagliains valley between the villages and stations of Susch and Lavin in the Lower Engadine. It was built on material removed during the construction of the Vereina Tunnel. Sagliains station was opened to timetabled traffic with the Vereina tunnel on November 22, 1999. Sagliains station's main business is the operation of the Vereina car shuttle train to . The car loading station is equipped with two loading tracks next to a loading ramp, which stretches along the valley slope. Bever–Scuol-Tarasp Railway
The Bever–Scuol-Tarasp railway—also called the Engadinerbahn (Engadine Railway), Engadinerlinie (Engadine Line), Unterengadinerbahn (Lower Engadine Railway) or Unterengadinerlinie (Lower Engadine Line)—is a Swiss Metre-gauge railway, metre-gauge railway, which is operated by the Rhaetian Railway (''Rhätischen Bahn''; RhB) and connects the Lower Engadine with the Albula Railway. Vereina Tunnel
The Vereina Tunnel is a railway tunnel, and the principal part of the Vereina railway line, in the canton of Graubünden in eastern Switzerland. It connects the Landquart–Davos Platz and the Bever–Scuol-Tarasp lines. First proposed during 1975, construction of the tunnel commenced during 1991 and was officially completed on 19 November 1999, ahead of schedule. Manulla Junction railway station is a transfer point for train passengers in County Mayo, Ireland. Description It is a rare example of an interchange-only rail station. Smallbrook Junction Railway Station
Smallbrook Junction railway station is a railway station on the Isle of Wight, England. It is unusual because it has no public access but exists purely to provide a connection between two rail systems. Another similar station is Manulla Junction in County Mayo, Ireland. However, that station allows interchange between two national network rail routes, rather than between a network route and a heritage route. History The station was opened in 1991 by British Rail when the Isle of Wight Steam Railway was extended to reach the Island Line, in order to provide a passenger interchange between the two.
