Sagittarius is the name of different fictional characters appearing in American comic books published by Marvel Comics. Publication history The original Sagittarius first appeared in ''Avengers'' #72 (January 1970), and was created by Roy Thomas and Sal Buscema. Fictional character biography Harlan Vargas Harlan Vargas is a founding member of the Zodiac, and his base of operations was Washington, D.C. The Zodiac Cartel was founded by Cornelius van Lunt (Taurus), handpicking the eleven other members; van Lunt concealed his own identity, while he was the only one who knew the identities of the others. Each member was based in a different American city as part of his nationwide criminal network, with the ultimate goal of world economic and political domination. The Zodiac was infiltrated by Nick Fury, posing as Scorpio; the Zodiac fought the Avengers and escaped. American Comic Book
An American comic book is a thin periodical literature originating in the United States, commonly between 24 and 64 pages, containing comics. While the form originated in 1933, American comic books first gained popularity after the 1938 publication of ''Action Comics'', which included the debut of the superhero Superman. This was followed by a superhero boom that lasted until the end of World War II. After the war, while superheroes were marginalized, the comic book industry rapidly expanded and genres such as horror, crime, science fiction and romance became popular. Barbara "Bobbi" Morse is a fictional superhero appearing in American comic books published by Marvel Comics. The character first appeared in ''Astonishing Tales'' #6 in 1971 as a supporting character and eventual love interest of Ka-Zar (Kevin Plunder), Ka-Zar, with a Ph.D. in biology. Y'Garon Y'Garon is a demon who has clashed with Marada the She-Wolf and Dracula. Yandroth Yandroth was the humanoid Scientist Supreme of the " otherdimensional" planet "Yann" and a would-be-conqueror who, with his robot Voltorg, has fought Doctor Strange as a counterpart to the latter's title of Sorcerer Supreme. Doctor Strange defeats Yandroth, sending him to seemingly fall forever through an alternate dimension, the Dimension of Dreams. There, he gains great magical knowledge and learns that he could gain great power by destroying a world. He returns to Earth and constructs an "Omegatron", although he suffers injuries received when he was hit by a truck in New York City. His physical body dies, thus activating the Omegatron.
