Thapathali Campus
Thapathali Campus () also known as Thapathali Engineering Campus is the first and one of the five constituent engineering campuses under Institute of Engineering of Tribhuvan University (TU). Located at the center of Kathmandu city, the campus was established in 2023 B.S. to develop middle level manpower in the field in different fields engineering which upgraded its programs to bachelor and master level along the course of time. Being roughly about 1.25 km from the central campus Pulchowk Campus, it remains the second most demanded engineering campus in Nepal after Pulchowk Campus. It is a governmental college and funded by the Government of Nepal. Students who have passed an entrance exam conducted by IOE are allowed to apply for admission. Students are admitted by priority selection according to their score in IOE entrance exam. Rajarshi Janak University is a public university located in Janakpur of Dhanusha District, the capital of Madhesh Province. RJU operates through its two constituent campus, the central campuses in Janakpur and the other being newly established engineering campus in Gaushala. The university offers bachelor and masters level courses in a variety of fields. History The university was founded in October 2017 by the legislature-parliament after passing a bill as per the Constitution under special co-ordination of former Deputy Prime Minister of Nepal, Bimalendra Nidhi. It is focused in educational development of Madhesh Province. The central office of the university is in Janakpur. It has its name based on King Janak, the legendary king of Mithila. Some of the infrastructure of the university were provided by Tribhuvan University based on the government's decisions while it has established some on its own. Madhesh Province
Madhesh Province () is a Provinces of Nepal, province of Nepal in the Terai region with an area of covering about 6.5% of the country's total area. It has a population of 6,126,288 as per the 2021 Nepal census, making it Nepal's most densely populated province and the smallest province by area. It borders Koshi Pradesh to the east and the north, Bagmati Province to the north, and India’s Bihar state to the south and the west. The border between Chitwan National Park and Parsa National Park acts as the provincial boundary in the west, and the Kosi River forms the provincial border in the east. Mahottari District
Mahottari District (, ), a part of Madhesh Province, is one of the List of districts of Nepal, seventy-seven districts of Nepal. Its headquarters is located in Jaleshwar, a neighbouring town of the historical city of Janakpur. The name Jaleshwar means 'God in Water'. One can find a famous temple of Lord Shiva in Water there.
