Sagar Bhatia
Sagar Bhatia is an Indian Qawwali singer and composer based in Delhi, India. He is known for his renditions of popular tracks such as ''Kiven Mukhre Ton'', ''Tere Jeya Hor Disda'', and ''Je Tu Akhiyaan'', as well as his original single ''Mera Ishq''. His qawwali track ''Khudaya'' has been featured in the Akshay Kumar film ''Sarfira''. Biography Born and raised in Delhi, Sagar Bhatia is the son of the late Rakesh Bhatia, a businessman, and Kiran Bhatia, a teacher. He completed his schooling at DAV Public School, Mausam Vihar, and pursued higher education at Ramjas College. Bhatia began his musical career in 2007 in Mumbai, where he played guitar for renowned singer Narendra Chanchal. He also performed in dance bars in Malaysia and Dubai. Qawwali
Qawwali is a form of Sufi Islamic devotional singing originating in the Indian subcontinent. Originally performed at Sufi shrines throughout the Indian subcontinent, it is famous throughout Pakistan, India, Bangladesh and Afghanistan and has also gained mainstream popularity and an international audience as of the late 20th century. While hereditary performers continue to perform Qawwali music in traditional and devotional contexts, Qawwali has received international exposure through the work of Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan, Aziz Mian and Sabri Brothers largely due to several releases on the Real World label, followed by live appearances at WOMAD festivals. India's Raw Star
''India's Raw Star'' is an Indian singing competition series created by Gajendra Singh of Saibaba Telefilms which began airing on Star Plus from 24 August 2014. It was hosted by model-actress and '' Bigg Boss 7'' winner Gauahar Khan and mentored by singer-rapper Yo Yo Honey Singh. Rituraj Mohanty won the first season on 30 November 2014 with Darshan Raval and Mohit Gaur finishing second and third respectively. The other contestants were Sagar Bhatia, Akasa Singh, pardeep singh sran etc. Mohan Rathore, winner of a Bhojpuri singing competition 'Sur Sangram' was also one of the contestants. Sufi Music
Sufi music refers to the devotional music of the Sufis, inspired by the works of Sufi poets like Rumi, Hafiz, Bulleh Shah, Amir Khusrow, and Khwaja Ghulam Farid. Qawwali is the best-known form of Sufi music and is most commonly found in the Sufi culture in South Asia. However, music is also central to the Sema ceremony of the whirling dervishes, which is set to a form of music called Ayin, a vocal and instrumental piece featuring Turkish classical instruments such as the ney (a reed flute).
