Safia Middleton-Patel
Safia Middleton-Patel (born 21 September 2004) is a Welsh professional footballer who plays as a goalkeeper for Manchester United of the Women's Super League, and the Wales national team. Club career Manchester United Having made five appearances for Liverpool under-16s youth team, Middleton-Patel joined Women's Super League club Manchester United in summer 2020. During the 2021–22 season, she was part of the under-21 team that won the WSL Academy League and Academy Cup double. She was named to her first senior matchday squad for the club on 5 February 2022, a WSL match against Arsenal. She signed her first senior professional contract with the club in January 2023. Demi Lambourne (born 30 April 1996) is an English football goalkeeper who plays for Women's Championship club Sunderland. Early life Lambourne is from Oxford and began playing for Oxford United's centre of excellence. Club career In the 2014 FA WSL season Oxford joined the inaugural FA WSL 2 and Lambourne made 18 appearances in her first season in senior football, following an injury to the club's regular goalkeeper Hannah Cox. 2023 Pinatar Cup
The 2023 Pinatar Cup was the third edition of the Pinatar Cup, an international women's association football, football tournament. It was held in San Pedro del Pinatar, Spain from 15 to 21 February 2023. Iceland won the tournament for the first time, while Wales women's national football team, Wales were the runners-up. The Philippines women's national football team represents the Philippines in international women's association football competitions. The 2022 UEFA Women's Under-19 Championship qualifying competition was a women's under-19 football competition that determined the seven teams joining the automatically qualified hosts the Czech Republic in the 2022 UEFA Women's Under-19 Championship final tournament. The 2020 UEFA Women's Under-17 Championship qualifying competition was a women's under-17 football competition that was originally to determine the seven teams joining the automatically qualified hosts Sweden in the 2020 UEFA Women's Under-17 Championship final tournament, before being cancelled due to the COVID-19 pandemic in Europe. The 2024–25 Women's League Cup was the 14th edition of the Women's Super League and Women's Championship's league cup competition. All 23 teams from the WSL and Championship took part in the competition. Arsenal were the defending champions. It marked the first time since the competition's inception in 2011 that the cup would not be played under the named sponsorship of Continental AG or under the branding of The Football Association following the completed takeover by Women's Professional Leagues Limited (WPLL).
