Saffiyah Khan
Saffiyah Khan (born 27 November 1997) is an English political activist, singer and model of Pakistani and Bosnian origins. She became an icon of passive resistance in 2017 after being photographed facing a member of the English Defense League (EDL), a far-right group, during an anti-Muslim demonstration in Birmingham. In 2019, she appeared on the ''Encore'' album, by the British ska band The Specials. In March 2019, Saffiyah joined The Specials on their tour across Europe and North America. Tess Asplund (born 1974) is a Swedish activist who gained attention following her protest against neo-Nazis in Borlänge, Sweden. Early life and education Fındıkoğlu was born and raised in a conservative Muslim household in Istanbul, Turkey. Her parents are from the city of Kayseri, and her father, a businessman, owns and manages an opticals factory with her older siblings. The 100 Club is a music venue located at 100 Oxford Street, London, England, where it has been hosting live music since 24 October 1942.
