Sadhurangam (1978 Film)
''Sadhurangam'' () is a 1978 Indian Tamil-language film directed by Durai. It stars Rajinikanth, Srikanth, Jayachitra and Prameela, with Thengai Srinivasan, V. K. Ramasamy and Pandari Bai in supporting roles. The film is based on Visu's play ''Bharatha Matharkku Jai''. It is a partially lost film. Plot A middle class Orthodox Brahmin family mother (Pandari Bai) has two sons, Sundaresan and Ram Kumar. Both sons love their mother. Sundaresan works as an accountant. He is a straightforward and sincerely quiet man, so his colleagues tease him. Younger brother Ram Kumar studied at a college, but he is arrogant and misbehaves with the college girls and tease professors. He came to class irregularly and was not interested in his studies. Thengai Srinivasan is a widower, son-in-law of Pandari Bai and uncle of Sundaresan and Ram Kumar. He has a sister named Meenakshi. She dreams of marrying a rich man, but they ask for much dowry. Sadhurangam (2011 Film)
''Sathurangam'' () is a 2011 Tamil language political drama film directed by Karu Pazhaniappan, starring Srikanth and Sonia Agarwal. Filming began In 2003, but was stuck in development hell for years. The film's background score was composed by Vidyasagar, and his soundtrack was released in 2010 The project was revived in September 2011, and released on 7 October 2011. Srikanth's character in the film is named after Thirupathisamy, the late director of the films '' Azad'' and ''Narasimha'', who was Karu Pazhaniappan's close friend. Plot Thirupathisamy aka Thiru (Srikanth) is an investigative journalist working for a Tamil magazine. He fearlessly brings out the issues in the prevailing political system which earns him many enemies. Thiru falls in love with Sandhya (Sonia Agarwal), a college student.
