Donatien Alphonse François, Marquis de Sade ( ; ; 2 June 1740 – 2 December 1814) was a French writer, libertine, political activist and nobleman best known for his libertine novels and imprisonment for sex crimes, blasphemy and pornography. His works include novels, short stories, plays, dialogues, and political tracts. Some of these were published under his own name during his lifetime, but most appeared anonymously or posthumously. Born into a noble family dating from the 13th century, Sade served as an officer in the Seven Years' War before a series of sex scandals led to his detention in various prisons and insane asylums for most of his adult life. Helen Folasade Adu ( ; born 16 January 1959), known professionally as Sade Adu or simply Sade ( or ), is a British-Nigerian singer and songwriter who is the lead vocalist of her band Sade (band), Sade. One of the most successful British female artists in history, she is often recognised as an influence on contemporary music. Her success in the music industry was recognised with the honour Officer of the Order of the British Empire in 2002, and she was made Order of the British Empire#Precedence and privileges, Commander in the 2017 Birthday Honours. Sade was born in Ibadan, Colonial Nigeria, Nigeria, and was brought up in England from the age of four. Folasade Olayinka Baderinwa (born April 14, 1969), known professionally as Sade Baderinwa ( ), is an American broadcast journalist. Since 2003, she has been a news anchor at WABC-TV, the ABC flagship station in New York, and currently co-anchors the weekday 5 p.m. and 11 p.m. newscasts of ''Eyewitness News'' with Bill Ritter. Sade Robinson
Sade Carleena Robinson (May 10, 2004 – April 1 or 2, 2024) was a 19-year-old college student who was reported missing in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, on April 2, 2024. A severed human leg was found in a nearby park later that day, and subsequently determined by preliminary DNA testing to belong to Robinson. Other body parts were found in different locations later, and the search for remains continues. A suspect, Maxwell Anderson, was arrested on April 4 and held in custody until he was formally charged on April 12 with first-degree intentional homicide, mutilating a corpse, and arson. Before Robinson's death, she and Anderson were seen going on a date at a seafood restaurant where he used to work. The suspect has a lengthy criminal record which includes domestic abuse, drunk driving, and disorderly conduct. Sade ( or ) are an English band, formed in London in 1982 and named after their lead singer, Sade Adu. The band consists of Adu alongside bassist Paul Denman, saxophonist and guitarist Stuart Matthewman, and keyboardist Andrew Hale. Founding drummer Paul Anthony Cooke left the band in 1984, while Dave Early, Cooke's replacement, left in 1985. Since Early's departure in 1985, the band has employed numerous session and touring drummers in absence of an official drummer.
